Blind Spot Monitor increases your agility on the road, so you’re always prepared for the next manoeuvre. Blind Spot Monitor gives drivers the most accurate impression of other vehicles’ positioning, to enhance your driving perception and free you to enjoy the smoothest lane changes.
Using quasi-millimeter wave radar, Blind Spot Monitor detects vehicles in a driver’s blind spots, with a sensing range that extends up to 60 metres rearward in the adjacent lane. The system also alerts drivers to objects approaching from the rear at speed, so you’re aware of any vehicles on the move.
When a driver indicates to change lanes, an area is illuminated in the outer mirror where an obstacle is present, directly in the driver’s eye-line. This extra level of visibility serves to enhance your driving skills, imbuing your motorway drives with additional calm and confidence, as you change lanes at the ideal moment and maintain complete awareness of the road around you.
