                                                                                    More economical and environmentally friendly than conventional compact SUVs, the new Self-Charging Hybrid impresses with its exceptional smoothness and near-silent driving. The UX 300h exhibits the unique Lexus Driving Signature that owes much to months of testing with the same Lexus ‘Takumi’ master driver who put the awe-inspiring LC coupé through its paces. The result is an athleticism you do not expect of a compact SUV.

5^th GENERATION LEXUS SELF-CHARGING HYBRID 

The UX 300h’s new Self-Charging Hybrid technology combines a super-efficient 2.0-litre petrol engine with high-output electric motor(s), increasing system power to 199 DIN hp. With excellent fuel economy and EV driving, yet with no range issues, acceleration is now even faster and smoother, thanks to a newly developed lithium-ion battery. When you start off and at lower speeds, the powerful front electric motor (and rear electric motor on All-Wheel Drive models) propels the UX 300h. At this point you are enjoying an all-electric drive.

IMPROVED HYBRID TRANSAXLE

                                                                                This new hybrid transmission connects the petrol engine to an electric motor/generator and boasts over 25% less internal friction than previous Lexus systems, achieving excellent fuel consumption, quietness and driving performance. The Sequential Shiftmatic delivers responsive engine braking force in six steps with a shift feel similar to a manual transmission. The weight of the transaxle case has also been reduced by 20%.

LEXUS SAFETY SYSTEM + / 5-STAR NCAP RATING

The UX 300h benefits from the advanced active safety and driver assistance systems featured in the latest generation of Lexus Safety System +. These include a Driver Monitor that checks drivers for signs of fatigue and Proactive Driving Assist, which prepares brakes and steering to keep a safe distance from other road users and objects.

The UX achieved a 5-Star NCAP rating and has a shield of 8 airbags as standard. Even when you reach your destination, other road users are cared for: Safe Exit Assist gives a warning to prevent occupants (front and rear) from opening their door in the event of traffic such as cars or cyclists approaching from the rear.

PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM / EMERGENCY STEERING ASSIST

Outstanding results in EuroNCAP for ‘vulnerable road user protection’ are a tribute to the acclaimed Lexus Safety System + (standard on every UX).

The enhanced Lexus Pre-Collision System allows more potential collisions to be avoided, such as at left/right turns and cut-in traffic. Should you try to avoid a pedestrian when a collision is imminent, Emergency Steering Assist will support your steering movements to enhance the UX 300h’s stability and prevent accidental lane departure.

DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL / ROAD SIGN ASSIST

This system uses a millimetre-wave radar sensor and camera to detect the vehicle in front and maintain an appropriate distance. If the vehicle in front comes to a halt, the UX 300h will stop too. When the vehicle moves off again, you will too. It quickly recognises traffic cutting in front and, in conjunction with Lane Tracing Assist, follows a more natural line through bends. Road Sign Assist (RSA) recognises traffic signs and provides you with valuable information. When linked to Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, your car’s speed can be adjusted according to the limit recognised by RSA.

BEAUTY MEETS FUNCTION

Lexus designers worked tirelessly to create a striking luxury compact SUV with an electrifying dynamic appeal. Their efforts are to be found even in the small details, like the unique rear LED combination light, whose stylish aerodynamic form contributes to handling and performance. This is where beauty meets function, and it’s at the heart of the UX 300h. Now available in head-turning Sonic Copper, the UX entices more than ever. Its dynamic, lean look emphasised by sporty 18” alloys and body-coloured wheel arch mouldings.

F SPORT / F SPORT Design

With new paintwork choices, the UX entices more than ever. Adding new zest to the UX range, and available as an option for F SPORT and F SPORT Design models only, you can choose between Sonic Copper, Sonic Titanium and Sapphire Blue with a black roof, black pillars and black roof rails.

17" AERO VENTILATING WHEELS

Finished in black or metallic silver, these aero ventilating wheels feature flaps on each side of the spokes and are a world first for Lexus. The flap shape is based on the ‘Gurney Flap’, which is installed on the rear wing of Formula 1 race cars to regulate the airflow and create vortices that increase downforce. This innovative wheel design enables more confident driving by providing stable braking performance, increasing cooling efficiency, and reducing turbulence.

HANDS-FREE POWER TAILGATE / NEW SMART DIGITAL KEY

For convenient loading and unloading, the UX 300h is available with a handsfree power tailgate. This can be opened and closed by moving your foot in front of a sensor located underneath the rear bumper while you are carrying the smart key. One less thing to misplace, the secure and convenient Smart Digital Key integrates all Lexus smart key functions into the Lexus Link + app on your smartphone. This feature lets you smoothly unlock/lock and start your car and can be shared between up to five people.

S-FLOW CLIMATE CONTROL / CLIMATE CONCIERGE

S-Flow climate control intelligently manages the interior climate in your UX according to ambient conditions, ensuring excellent comfort and fuel economy. It can, for example, detect if seats are occupied, and regulate the climate accordingly. Climate Concierge also discharges minute nanoe™ X particles, helping inhibit viruses and bacteria on one hand, reducing odours on the other and at the same time moisturising your hair and skin.

13-SPEAKER MARK LEVINSON® AUDIO

                                                                          Delivering 915 watts of power, the UX 300h’s 13-speaker Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound system produces world-class sound. The ideal design was pursued for every electrical component in the system to deliver a total harmonic distortion (THD, an indicator of signal distortion) of 0.1% or less. The system includes a 150 W / 4 Ω x 12-channel (8 channels used) Class D amplifier. This unit’s ample power allows it to drive large speakers accurately, creating clear, powerful sound.
